Arm and Leg Lif

Arm and thigh lift surgeries are performed to correct aesthetic issues like sagging and looseness in the body, which can occur due to significant weight loss, aging, or genetic factors. These procedures are highly effective for individuals with excess skin and fat in the arm and thigh areas. Both arm lift (brachioplasty) and thigh lift surgeries are performed to create a younger, firmer, and smoother appearance.
Procedure
Arm and thigh lift surgeries typically last between 2 to 4 hours, although the duration may vary depending on the specific procedure. If both procedures are performed simultaneously, the total duration may extend to 4-6 hours.
Both surgeries are usually carried out under general anesthesia. The goal of the surgery is to remove and tighten the loose skin and excess fat.
Arm Lift (Brachioplasty): In this procedure, the surgeon makes an incision on the inner side of the arm. Excess skin and fat are removed, tightening the upper arm to achieve a more aesthetic appearance. Liposuction may also be used to remove additional fat if necessary.
Thigh Lift (Thighplasty): During a thigh lift, the surgeon makes an incision along the inner or upper thigh and removes excess skin and fat. This procedure is particularly suitable for individuals who have sagging on the inner thighs. Liposuction can also be used during thigh lift surgery to remove fat, resulting in a smoother thigh contour.
In both procedures, excess skin and fat are removed, and the remaining skin is tightened, emphasizing the body’s contours. Sometimes, combined procedures can be applied, such as performing both arm and thigh lifts simultaneously.

Recovery Process
The recovery process for arm and thigh lift surgeries typically takes 6-8 weeks. In the first few days, mild pain, swelling, and bruising may occur, but pain can be controlled with medication. Swelling and bruising usually reduce within the first 1-2 weeks, and wearing compression garments or bandages can accelerate the healing process. Patients are advised to wait 4-6 weeks before returning to normal activities, though the final results may take 3-6 months to fully materialize. During this time, following the surgeon’s instructions for rest and care will support the healing process.
