Filler

Medical fillers are used in aesthetic medicine to restore volume loss, reduce wrinkles and fine lines, and shape facial features. Fillers usually contain substances like hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, or polycaprolactone. These filler materials are injected under the skin to create a natural and youthful appearance.

Procedure

Medical filler application is generally done with local anesthesia and is a quick process. The filler material is injected into targeted areas using fine needles. The most common areas for filler use are the face, especially the cheeks, lips, under the eyes, and around the nose (nasolabial folds). Fillers are also used to shape the chin, nose, and treat aging signs on the hands.

Recovery Process

After the procedure, patients can immediately return to their daily activities. There may be mild redness, swelling, or bruising, but these effects typically disappear within 1-2 days. Results are visible immediately and last for 6-12 months, depending on the type of filler and the treated area. Afterward, the filler can be replenished to maintain the desired appearance.
