Beard / Mustache Transplant
Beard / Mustache Transplant

Beard transplantation is a cosmetic surgical procedure that helps restore sparse or completely lost beards. In this procedure, healthy hair follicles are harvested from areas like the nape of the neck or under the chin and transplanted into the beard area. Typically, the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique is used, where hair follicles are collected individually and injected into the beard area with micro-needles. This technique provides both natural results and a faster recovery process.
Procedure
The procedure generally takes 4 to 6 hours. First, the area for the beard transplant is identified, and local anesthesia is applied to ensure the patient is completely relaxed. Hair follicles are then harvested from the donor area (typically the nape of the neck) and transplanted into the beard area. The follicles are placed in a way that suits the patient's facial features and desired beard shape.

Recovery Process
In the first few days after the procedure, small crusts and mild bruising may appear in the transplanted areas. These symptoms will subside within a few days. The transplanted hair follicles may initially shed, but new beard hairs typically begin to grow within 2-3 months. The full results usually become visible within 6-12 months.
