Genital Aesthetics

Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure aimed at performing aesthetic corrections and addressing anatomical problems in the vaginal area. The procedure is designed to tighten vaginal muscles, remove excess skin and tissue, and narrow the vaginal opening, providing both aesthetic and functional improvements. Vaginoplasty is often preferred by individuals who wish to repair vaginal tissue that has loosened post-childbirth, address elasticity loss due to aging, or enhance their sexual life quality.
Procedure
Vaginoplasty is generally performed under general anesthesia. The surgeon makes a small incision either inside or outside the vagina to remove excess skin and tissue. The vaginal muscles are tightened using specialized techniques, and the vaginal opening is narrowed. The procedure aims to aesthetically shape the vaginal walls and achieve a more youthful appearance.
In some cases, **Labiplasty** (cosmetic surgery for the external labia) can also be performed alongside vaginoplasty. In this procedure, the outer labia (labia majora) are reduced or reshaped. These types of surgeries can be done for both aesthetic and physical comfort reasons.
Types of Genital Aesthetic Procedures for Women:
- Labiplasty: Reshaping and resizing of the inner and outer labia (labia minora and labia majora).
- Vaginoplasty: Tightening and narrowing of the vaginal canal.
- Clitoroplasty: Correction of the tissue around the clitoris.
- Hymenoplasty: Repair or reconstruction of the hymen.
- Mons Pubis Aesthetics: Removal of excess fat or reshaping of the pubic area.
- Perineoplasty: Repair and aesthetic correction of the perineal area after childbirth.
Types of Genital Aesthetic Procedures for Men:
- Penile Aesthetics: Enlargement or reshaping of the penis in terms of size and circumference.
- Scrotal Aesthetics: Reshaping and resizing of the scrotum (testicle sac).
- Penile Implant: Placement of an implant to address erectile dysfunction.

Recovery Process
After vaginoplasty, it is important to maintain personal hygiene and follow the doctor’s post-operative care instructions. Typically, the patient can return to work after 2 days. The duration of sexual abstinence depends on the specific procedure performed. Bathing can usually begin immediately after surgery, but special attention should be paid to genital cleanliness. Mild pain, swelling, bruising, and bleeding are normal and typically resolve within a few days.
Vaginoplasty does not interfere with future childbirth; however, the vagina may expand again after a vaginal delivery. These aesthetic procedures aim to enhance sexual pleasure, but they may not have a direct effect on sexual desire. Since sexual dysfunction can have psychological and genetic causes, these surgeries may not resolve all sexual issues.
